What is CCP?
College Credit Plus is Ohio's dual enrollment program that provides students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking courses from Ohio colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to enhance students' career readiness and post-secondary success, while providing a wide variety of options to college-ready students, at no or limited costs to students and families.
You may travel to the college where you have been admitted or enroll in online courses offered by that college. All Ohio public colleges and universities, as well as many independent colleges in Ohio offer College Credit Plus courses
Please contact the School Counseling office for additional information or to set up a time to discuss your child's specific goals. Check the links listed below for more information on the specific college that your child is choosing.
How is it funded?
Option B: No cost to you. This option is available only to Ohio residents. Your high school pays tuition and also textbooks. You earn both high school and college credit.
* The cost of a parking pass is the student's responsibility if taking classes on campus.
Option A: You pay for tuition, books, and materials, and can choose to receive only college credit (grade is not factored into the high school GPA) or both high school and college credit. If you want high school credit, you will need to ask to have the course added to your transcript.
*Admission to the CCP program is different from course placement. Just because you are admitted does not mean you are guaranteed to take a course.
