Volunteering in Our Schools

Volunteers and Chaperones

Volunteers:

We would like to thank you for volunteering/chaperoning for our school.  It is because of volunteers like you that our school is such a success.  According to Board Policy IICC- school volunteers, any volunteers who work directly with students are required to have a criminal record check done before volunteering/chaperoning in any area of the school.  What do you need to do?

1.  Call the T.C.E.S.C. and set up a time to have the fingerprinting done.  The number is 330-505-2800.  Tell them you are a volunteer at Southington Local Schools (that way they know who to send the results to).  The address for TCESC is 6000 Youngstown Warren Rd, Niles, Oh., 44446.

2.  Get a money order (cash and personal checks are not accepted).  Money order for $30.00 made out to TCESC. (This will NOT be reimbursed).

3. Once you have completed this process you will then be put on the Board agenda to be approved as a volunteer/chaperone.

If you have any questions regarding this process please feel free to call the office at 330-898-7480 ext 104 and speak with Shari Gilanyi.

Again, thank you for volunteering your time for the children of Southington Schools.

Sincerely,

Rocco Nero
Superintendent
