Superintendent's Message

Superintendent’s Message

It’s hard to believe but in less than two weeks, we will be three – fourths through the school year.  We cannot THANK the entire Southington School Community enough for its cooperation during this pandemic.  Students, Staff, Parents/Guardians have all done their duty and we appreciate that.  We are hoping that cases continue to decline and we will be close to back to normal soon.

Speaking of back to normal, our elementary students have begun utilizing our playground equipment.  As we offer our students more and more opportunities, we continue to follow Health Department Guidelines.  The health and safety of all is our number one concern.

We have also recently received word that we will be able to hold Prom and Graduation as planned.  Once again, we will adhere to the guidelines provided to us.  Our kids have been excellent and deserve to end the year in a positive manner.

Lastly, our staff will be offered their second vaccination on Friday, March 19, 2021.  There will be no in person instruction on that day.  Students will be on our remote learning plan.

WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!

STAY HEALTHY AND SAFE!

GO WILDCATS!

Educationally yours,

Rocco Nero
