Joe Giesy is an Emmy award-winning television producer and proud graduate of Chalker High School. Mr. Giesy furthered his education at Youngstown State University with a Journalism degree, taking on multiple editor roles for the campus paper. He also holds a degree in Human Resources Management.
While Mr. Giesy’s broadcast career spans Youngstown, Cleveland and Atlanta, he began exploring his calling for video production by recording high school basketball games around Trumbull County and incorporating video into his school projects whenever possible. He would later unknowingly lay the groundwork for his future career by transferring to Chalker in his junior year. After transferring, he became heavily involved in Mrs. Karr’s video production class and the still evolving Wildcat Weekly.
Mr. Giesy currently resides in Atlanta with his dog Bennie. He spends his free time pursuing type II fun activities such as rock climbing, cycling, and taking the stairs instead of the elevator. He relaxes with meditation, phone-free walks and good music.
