The Wildcat Way
In order to provide more communication between the school and families regarding behavior, we are implementing a conduct grade for grades K-5. The conduct grade will reflect six weeks of behavior monitoring that focuses on specific goals related to our positive behavior program, P.A.W.S. All students will have a behavior calendar located in their orange folder which is expected to go home each night and be returned the next day. Students will receive an orange mark or other fun stamp on their calendar for meeting P.A.W.S expectations, and a black mark if expected behaviors were not met. Students will receive a black mark after three warnings or a severe misbehavior.

Conduct grades for each six week grading period are as follows:

O - Outstanding

0-1 Black Marks

(0-3 tally marks)

S - Satisfactory

2-4 Black Marks

(4-12 tally marks)

N - Needs Improvement

5-6 Black Marks

(13-18 tally marks)

U - Unsatisfactory

7+ Black Marks

(19+ tally marks)

Biweekly, the PBIS Spirit Cart will be around to deliver a reward to any student who has not received a black mark on their behavior calendar within those two weeks.  Each student will have a chance to earn a reward for positive behavior every two weeks.

Each six weeks will be a different PBIS focus:

1st Six Weeks

Practice Respect

2nd Six Weeks

Act Safely

3rd Six Weeks

Work Hard

4th Six Weeks

Show Responsibility

5th Six Weeks

All P.A.W.S

6th Six Weeks

All P.A.W.S

CLASS DOJO

Class Dojo is the online behavior system we use in Kindergarten. Every student has their own little "monster" and they can earn points for good behavior.  Class Dojo will be used for you to privately message me and vice versa about anything happening in the classroom, not just behavior related.  I will also send home notes and reminders through Class Dojo.
