Hi! I'm Katelyn Brown - your child's second grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. I grew up in Southington and I truly love this community and school district. There's just something about being a "Wildcat" that will never leave my spirit! I am a 2009 graduate of Chalker High School and I am thrilled to be back in my home district as a teacher! After high school, I went to Kent State University to receive a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013. In May of 2023 I received my Master's degree in Education from Walsh University. This is my 10th year teaching at Southington.
I am married to Kevin Brown. We love to travel, go golfing, spend time with family and friends, watch our favorite sports teams, and I often drag him out to flea markets and craft shows! We are both very passionate about animals and have had horses throughout most of our lives. We have a mini-schnauzer named Charlie Brown!
