Hi! I’m Katelyn Brown, and I’m so excited to be your child’s second grade teacher for the 2026–2027 school year! I grew up in Southington, and I truly love this community and school district. There’s just something special about being a “Wildcat” that will always be a part of my spirit! I’m a 2009 graduate of Chalker High School, and I’m thrilled to be back in my home district as a teacher.
After high school, I attended Kent State University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013. In May 2023, I earned my Master’s degree in Education from Walsh University. This upcoming school year marks my 13th year teaching at Southington, and I feel incredibly fortunate to continue growing and learning alongside the students and families in this community.
When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family. My husband, Kevin, and I have a son named Stetson, and a mini schnauzer named Charlie Brown. We enjoy cheering on our favorite sports teams, exploring local antique malls, attending concerts, and traveling whenever we can!
I’m looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with learning, laughter, and lots of memories. I can’t wait to get to know your child and make this a special year for them! I’m so excited to welcome you to our classroom family!
