Megan Pressley

Hello!

Welcome to my 4/5 Math webpage! This year will be great!

In my class, we will take math notes, complete many assignments, and learn all there is to know about our grade-level math curriculum. I will actively use Class Dojo to communicate with parents about assignments & behavior.  Please make sure you are checking your child's take home folder each night looking for any paperwork or homework assignments.

I LOVE MATH!

Hi!  I'm Megan Pressley.  I was born in Florida and moved to Ohio when I was little. I started my schooling at Champion Elementary and ended my schooling in Geauga County at Cardinal Local Schools. I graduated in 2007 and began college at Kent State. I transferred down south after one year to a college in North Carolina called Gardner-Webb University. I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and I double minored in Professional education and french studies. I now hold a P-5 license for teaching in Ohio.

I started teaching at two local schools near the college I went to. I have taught Kindergarten for a short bout and then moved to the higher grades spending my career there in 3rd (5 years) and 4th (2 years). After moving back to Ohio, I began tutoring online to students P-18 for 2 years. I was the Title I tutor for math K-5 last year. This will be my eleventh year teaching.

I am so excited to continue my career in teaching at SOUTHINGTON ELEMENTARY!!!

My family lives in Southington, and I have three children. My oldest two children attend Southington in first and fourth grade. My youngest is 3 years old. I enjoy living in Southington! I love summer and fall, they are my favorite seasons because I enjoy swimming, iced coffees, drinking apple cider, and going to Derthick’s with my family.

I can’t wait to get to know you and your child!
