"Give every man thy ear, but few thy voice."-- William Shakespeare
I hope everyone is excited to not only start school, but to learn something new. This is my
20th
year at Chalker, and while it doesn't seem possible it's been that long, I'm just as eager to start this year as I was my very first year!
Through the presentation of material and novels in my classes, I hope to encourage each and every student to expand his/her mind in the aspect of Language Arts. Students will be exposed to discussions, group projects, activities, and lectures. While I realize that ALL students learn and perform differently, each student is expected to participate to the best of his/her ability.
It is important for parents, and teachers, to encourage students to take pride in their work and to be successful. Several ways of accomplishing these goals are to have good attendance, to complete assignments when they are due, and to participate in class.
Communication is also key. Please feel free to contact me by phone at (330)898-1781 ext. 508 or through my email at
[email protected]
if there are questions or concerns.
