I hope everyone is excited to not only start school, but to learn something new. This is my twelfth year of teaching at Chalker High School; I am just as eager to start teaching this year as I was on my very first day!
Through the presentation of new material and novels in my classes, I hope to encourage each and every student to expand his/her mind in the aspect of Language Arts. Students will be exposed to a variety of teaching styles and lessons including discussions, projects, group activities, and yes, some lectures. While I realize that ALL students learn and perform differently, each student is expected to participate to the best of his/her ability.
It is important for parents, and teachers, to encourage students to take pride in their work and to be successful. Several ways of accomplishing these goals are to have good attendance, complete assignments, and participate in class.
